What's new

Every improvement to KeywordShop, newest first.

  1. We now tell you how big your market actually is

    • Improved

Your report now opens with the size of your market rather than with your budget. It shows how many people search for what you do, in the area you advertise in, and what that is realistically worth in clicks and money. Your budget is shown as a ceiling — the most you could spend — not as a promise of what you will get.

    • Improved

Search volume is now shown as a range, and every figure says which place it was measured in. Nobody can measure a radius exactly — not even Google’s own planning tools — so we give you your town as the lower end and your wider region as the upper end, and say so plainly instead of picking one and hoping.

    • Fixed

If your area is too small to spend your budget, we now say so. Before, the report implied the whole budget would be used, which made a perfectly healthy small account look broken — and the wrong fix is to widen your area or add keywords you do not want.

    • Improved

Your bids now fit whichever limit actually applies. Where there is more demand than budget we keep bids affordable, as before. Where your area simply has fewer searches than your budget can cover, we no longer shrink your bids below what the auction costs — that used to stop your ads showing at all.

    • New

A short "Before you start" checklist on every finished account: completing Google’s advertiser verification within the 30 days you get, why "low search volume" on some keywords is normal and fixes itself, how to switch on conversion tracking starting with phone calls, and a reminder to check the phone number in your ads is one you answer.

    • Fixed

Your ad groups no longer share the same ad text. Unrelated groups were reusing the same headlines, which wastes the one chance an ad has to match what the person actually searched for. Each group now keeps its own lines, and only genuinely universal ones — your trial offer, your rating — appear across several.

    • Fixed

The extra course and service lines under your ads now actually appear. On non-English accounts they were being written in your language and then rejected, so the extension was quietly missing every time.

    • Fixed

The written read-out of your account is back. It was missing from every account for a while — the page still filled itself in from our standard wording, so nothing looked wrong, but the tailored summary of your own numbers was not being written at all.

    • Improved

Accounts are built with fewer, stronger ad groups — three to five instead of a dozen. Spreading a small budget over many groups gave each one too few clicks to tell a good one from an unlucky month, and forced the same ad text to be reused.

    • Fixed

The keyword list no longer shows a "competition" column. It was a score you could not act on, and it read as "how hard this will be", which is not what it meant. In its place each keyword now shows its search volume per area, each area named.

  2. Campaigns in half the time, and ads that point somewhere real

    • Fixed

Every ad now links to a page that really exists on your website. Ads used to be able to point at a page that was never there, which either stopped them running or sent people who clicked to a dead end. We now open every page first, and where nothing fits we use your homepage.

    • Improved

Ad groups are sent to the page that matches them. A Krav Maga ad group lands on your Krav Maga page rather than the homepage, so people see what they searched for.

    • New

Your ads can be called straight from the search results. We take the phone number from your website and add a call button, so someone on a mobile reaches you with one tap. Check the number before you switch the campaigns on — the script tells you where we found it.

    • Fixed

Click prices now fit your daily budget. A campaign could bid so high that the day's budget bought only a handful of clicks. We cap the bid so your budget lasts, and tell you if your market is simply more expensive than the budget allows.

    • Improved

Far fewer wasted clicks. Every account now starts with a long list of searches you should not pay for — job hunters, people looking for free instructions, price comparison and second-hand listings — while never blocking anything you actually sell.

    • Fixed

Your ads only reach people in your area. They could previously also be shown to someone far away who had merely looked something up about your region.

    • Improved

Search volumes are shown for the area you target, not the whole country — and every figure now says which area it refers to.

    • Improved

Setting your area is one question instead of three. Pick your country and leave it at that, or untick the box and name a town and a radius.

    • Improved

Your campaign is ready in about half the time it used to take.

    • Improved

The guide now tells you to switch Google Ads to Expert Mode first. A brand-new Google Ads account has no Scripts menu at all, which made the next step impossible to follow.

    • Improved

One way in instead of two. Everything now runs through the copy-paste script; the Google Ads Editor files are gone. Nobody was getting through that route, and one clear path beats two confusing ones.

  3. Clearer message when a build fails

    • Fixed

You can run a second campaign for the same website. The script used to stop with "these campaigns already exist" and create nothing; now it dates the new one instead, and never touches the campaigns already in your account.

    • Improved

The script now logs which Google Ads account it created the campaigns in, and warns you clearly when you only ran a Preview — a preview simulates everything and creates nothing, which looked exactly like success.

    • New

A failed campaign now has a "Try again" button. It rebuilds from what you already entered — nothing to retype — using the credit you were refunded.

    • Fixed

A failed campaign now explains itself in plain language instead of showing a technical error. Your credit is still refunded automatically either way.

  4. Introductory pricing

    • New

A single campaign is €19 instead of €69 for the first ten people, then €29, then €39. The discount is applied automatically at checkout — there is no code to enter — and the page shows how many places are left at the current price.

    • Fixed

Buying credits works again. Checkout could fail with "Error requesting checkout" for some accounts.

  5. Billing, language and the Google Ads link

    • Improved

Creating your campaigns is now one route: copy the script, paste it into Google Ads. The Google Ads Editor downloads and instructions are hidden — the script does the same job in about three minutes, with no extra software.

    • Improved

Your delivery email now links only the files you actually use, and the guide, pricing and FAQ all describe the script route.

    • Improved

The radius no longer asks for a postcode. The town is enough for Google to find the centre, and the extra field looked like a duplicate of the postcode targeting above it.

    • Fixed

The billing page could show an error instead of loading. It now opens even when an older purchase can no longer be matched to a current plan.

    • Fixed

Your language choice sticks. Opening any German link used to quietly switch the whole app back to German, even right after you picked English.

    • Fixed

"Open Google Ads Scripts" now opens the Scripts page. The link pointed at an address Google no longer serves, so nothing happened.

  6. Everything in your language, a getting-started guide, clearer targeting

    • Fixed

You no longer get signed out unexpectedly. On slower or unstable connections a sign-in could be dropped shortly after it started.

    • Fixed

Your ad language now starts from the language you use the app in. It used to start at English for everyone — so adding German next to it quietly built a second, English campaign set.

    • Fixed

The keyword report no longer defaults every user to Germany and German — it follows your app language too.

    • Improved

The progress timeline on a campaign page and the downloaded files (overview sheet, ad preview, keyword research, read-me) are now written in your app language. The ads themselves stay in the language you chose for them.

    • Improved

A finished account is now checked against the languages you asked for before it is handed over. A campaign in the wrong language fails the build instead of reaching you.

    • New

A new "Getting started" page walks you through both ways to get your finished account into Google Ads: copy-paste the script, or import with Google Ads Editor.

    • Improved

The postcode field now tells you up front where Google offers no postcodes at all (Ireland) or only a handful (Austria), instead of leaving you with an unexplained "no matches".

    • Fixed

The "Your inputs" panel on a campaign page now lists every target country, plus your postcodes and radius. It used to show only the first country and could label a second country as a city.

  7. Postcodes, radius, and campaigns without Google Ads Editor

    • New

Narrow your targeting inside a country: pick postcodes, or set a radius around a place ("20 km around Munich"). Search volume and click prices are still measured per country.

    • Fixed

The old free-text "Cities / regions" field is gone. It looked like targeting but never reached your campaigns — postcodes and radius do.

  8. Create your campaigns in Google Ads without Google Ads Editor

    • New

Copy one script, paste it into Google Ads and run it: your whole account is created – campaigns, ad groups, keywords, ads, assets and targeting – all paused, no Editor or file upload needed.

    • New

Built to be safe: the script only adds new campaigns, never changes or deletes anything, sends no data anywhere, and creates everything or nothing.

  9. Full-screen ad preview, easier targeting and live progress

    • New

While your campaign is being built, you now see each step as it happens and roughly how long is left.

    • Improved

The ad preview opens almost full screen, and it has its own "Open preview" button right above your files.

    • Improved

Countries and ad languages work the same way now: search, pick, and your choices appear as tags. Country comes first, because it fills in the language for you.

    • Fixed

Adding a second country no longer looks like the first one disappeared, and Enter picks the top match.

    • Improved

The multi-campaign Excel file is now entirely in English, including the overview tab, the import guide and the column headings.

    • Improved

Each campaign now keeps its names and ad copy consistently in its own language.

    • Improved

A tidier report: a clearer headline, the key figures right at the top, your top keywords before search intent, and a recommendation you can collapse.

    • Fixed

Large numbers in the report’s key figures no longer break across two lines, and the chart legend is no longer cramped.

    • Improved

"More options" in the campaign form is open by default, and the "Create campaign" button sits neatly at the bottom.

    • Improved

The English version of the app uses British English throughout.

    • New

This "What’s new" page is now linked in the app’s sidebar.

  10. Several countries per campaign, and previews right in the app

    • New

Open the ad preview and the research brief directly in the app – no need to download them first.

    • New

Target several countries in one campaign. The first country is the market we measure search volumes and click prices in.

    • New

Our advice on your campaign is now written in the language you use the app in, whatever language your ads are in.

    • New

A "Your inputs" panel on the report page shows exactly what you submitted for that campaign.

    • Improved

New campaigns start with the high-intent search types (commercial and transactional) selected, so your budget goes to people ready to buy. Selected options now show a tick.

    • Improved

English is now the default language, and the language you pick stays selected as you move around the site.

    • Fixed

Importing the campaign files into Google Ads Editor works again. The keyword research is now a separate download instead of sitting inside the import package.

    • Fixed

Fewer failed campaign builds: long research briefs are no longer cut short, and small formatting slips in the ads are repaired automatically.

    • Fixed

The email field on the sign-in page no longer looks broken when your browser fills it in automatically.

    • Fixed

The header of the keyword table stays readable while you scroll.

    • Fixed

The billing page loads reliably for subscribers again.

  11. Every country, every language

    • New

Advertise in over 200 countries and 46 languages. Picking a country fills in the likely ad language and currency for you.

    • New

Search the country and language fields instead of scrolling through long lists.

    • New

Your downloads now include monthly search volume and the typical cost per click for each keyword.

    • Improved

Download files and their labels are now in English. Your ad text stays in the language you advertise in.

    • Improved

The report page now points you straight to your finished ads, so you no longer miss them.

    • Improved

Checkout now opens as a full, secure payment page.

    • Improved

Only the plan you click shows a loading spinner, and running out of credits now tells you clearly how to top up.

    • Fixed

The billing page no longer fails after you have bought credits more than once.

    • Fixed

The campaign form loads correctly for every language, including Chinese.

  12. Discount codes and a real sample report

    • New

Have a discount code? You can now enter it at checkout for both plans.

    • Improved

The sample page now shows a real keyword report with real numbers, exactly as you would get it.

  13. Simpler sign-in and a friendlier start

    • Improved

Signing in and signing up are now one step: enter your email and we send you a link, whether you are new or returning.

    • Improved

What you create is now called a "campaign" everywhere in the app, which makes it easier to follow.

    • New

First-time visitors get a welcome screen with a clear way to start their first campaign or look at a sample.

    • Improved

The sign-in email has a fresh look that matches the rest of KeywordShop.

  14. A more polished ad preview

    • Improved

The ad preview uses readable headings and your project name instead of technical labels, and your download files are named after your project too.

    • Improved

Campaigns in the ad preview are grouped by language and shown as cards, so large accounts are easy to scan.

    • Fixed

The buttons at the top of the campaign list no longer jump onto a new line in German.

  15. Smoother credits and billing

    • Fixed

You can buy credit packs again after your first purchase.

    • Fixed

Multi-Campaign subscribers now reliably receive their monthly credits on every renewal.

    • Improved

Monthly subscription credits apply to their billing month and are used before any credits you bought separately.

  16. Your report comes first

    • Improved

A finished campaign now opens on its keyword report. Your files, import guide and ad preview sit in a second tab.

    • Improved

Softer chart colours make the report easier on the eye.

  17. Times in your own time zone

    • Fixed

Dates and times of your campaign runs are now shown in your own time zone.

  18. Stronger keyword research and email delivery

    • Improved

Keyword research now starts from Google's own keyword ideas for your website and always includes the main search terms for your services, not just niche phrases.

    • New

When your campaign is ready, we email the files to the delivery address you entered – handy if it is for a client.

    • Improved

Your campaign list and each campaign page now show when it was created.

  19. Pick your target country

    • New

Choose your target country from a list, so your keywords are measured in the right market. Cities and regions are now an optional extra.

    • Improved

When search data is only available for some of your keywords, the report and plan tell you openly which figures that affects.
